Tonight the Canton Charge take on the Greensboro Swarm.
The Canton Charge (20-17) and the Greensboro Swarm (13-25) will face off in Canton tonight. Tipoff set for 7:00 PM (EST) on Facebook Live. The Swarm look to spoil the Charge playoff hopes, while the Charge continue to charge on into the playoffs
The Charge and Swarm have faced each other twice this season and they were both blowouts in Charge wins.
The Charge won the first game on December 13 in Greensboro 116-97. The next game was in Canton on December 28, and the Charge won 124-95. The Charge have shown dominance in the last two wins vs. Greensboro while averaging 120 points per game against the Swarm. The Swarm have averaged 96 points per game against Canton.
What to watch for:
1.) Life after Quinn Cook — With Quinn Cook getting the 10-day call up by the Dallas Mavericks, who had 2 points (1/5 FG, 0/3 from three), 2 assists and 2 rebounds vs. the Miami Heat last night. The Charge have to figure out who will replace the 26 points per game Cook averaged. The Charge did very well doing that against one of the best teams in the NBA D-League in the Main Red Claws Sunday night.
2.) Pace — The Charge the past two games have controlled the pace against the Greensboro Swarm. If they want to dominate tonight, they are going to have to control the pace again. If Kay Felder is sent down to the D-League tonight, that will certainly help in terms of controlling the pace. It is not yet determined, but the Charge acquired guard Cameron Jones from the Santa Cruz Warriors in a trade over the weekend, if he plays tonight, he will certainly help with the pace of play for the Charge. Up tempo, speed is the motto for the Charge.
The starting lineup for the Canton Charge is to be determined.
