Bogut’s Potential Side Effects

Andrew Bogut, while a great rebounder and paint presence, could hurt the Cavaliers spacing.

The Mavericks, who are the league’s worst scoring team, averaged just 2.03 points per minutes. But, of the minutes that Bogut-Williams were both on the court, that rate went down to 1.84. While this isn’t some crazy insane factor, it is a little taste of how Bogut interacts with other players especially his teammate point guard.

Defensively, Bogut would also struggle to guard bigs like Serge Ibaka, a player just acquired by the Toronto Raptors. Let’s just say that Tyronn Lue will have to figure out the perfect times to use this stellar soon-to-be addition.
