The Cleveland Cavaliers are now up to bat after a less-than-exciting NBA trade deadline. The Cavs will certainly engage in talks with bought out players.

The NBA trade deadline is always an interesting time.  Rumors swirl at a rapid pace and everyone is feverishly checking Twitter to see who will make the next move.

Teams such as the Cleveland Cavaliers have to take a much more creative route when it comes to the trade deadline as their trade assets are minimal.  That is where the buyout market comes in handy for a team such as the Cavs, who can attract players to their team who have reached buyout agreements with the team they were on.

The buyout is usually for teams that acquire an expiring contract with a veteran that they are mostly certain will not return. Why give an older guy minutes you could allow a young gun to have? That’s the thought process. It’s now the time for these buyouts.
