Cavaliers: Recapping Every LeBron James All-Star Performance
2012 All-Star Game
LeBron backed up his triple double from the previous year with an even better performance. He put up 36 points on 6-of-8 three point shooting. He also added 7 assists and 6 boards.
The East trailed by 21 at points throughout this game. LeBron brought the East back into the game with his tremendous 3 point shooting. James scored 9 straight baskets in the fourth quarter to close the gap. The comeback was highlighted by a deep fade-away three over Russell Westbrook.
While James was fantastic, his late turnover down the stretch cost the East the game. The West held onto the lead with a 152-149 win. Kevin Durant won the MVP by putting up 36 points of his own.
If there was ever a case for someone from the losing team to be MVP, this was the year. The game wouldn’t have been nearly as competitive as it was if it wasn’t for LeBron.
