PG Ricky Rubio

2016-2017 season averages: 8.9 points, 8.5 assists per game

What does he bring to the Cleveland Cavaliers:

Ricky Rubio is the best passer on the list and although he’s a mediocre scorer, averaging 10.0 points per game in 31.6 minutes per game for his career, he’s possibly the best playmaker considering what he can do for others. Rubio will find literally every player on the roster for an assist by the season’s end if he can. That’s just the type of player Rubio is.

Rubio shouldn’t be the Cleveland Cavaliers’ only acquisition if they’re to trade Iman Shumpert to acquire him. A player like Lance Stephenson, who the Cavs had in for a workout earlier this month, should be a player they try to acquire as well.

Stephenson, who is a player that’s known for scoring, defense and confidence, will be great depth for the team on the wings. As previously mentioned, LeBron James should be expected to play a lot more power forward with Kevin love ruled out for six weeks following knee surgery. With that in consideration, the Cleveland Cavaliers will need additional depth on the wings despite the recent acquisitions of Kyle Korver and Derrick Williams.
