Trade #7: The Golden Denver Nuggets

It is official, Wilson Chandler wants out of Denver, and Cleveland would happily take him. Assume in this trade that Cleveland offered a second round pick also.

Why Cleveland would do it:

To be honest, it is pretty simple why Cleveland would do it. They get a dynamic scoring bench player. They also get to fill their backup point guard vacancy. Jameer Nelson is a quality veteran guard. This trade would be excellent for Cleveland.

Why Denver would do it:

Denver has the youth of the future in Nurkic, Jokic, Mudiay, Murray, and Harris. They want to win now. They want to make the playoffs in order to revive Mile High Basketball. This trade would help them do that while getting Murray more minutes by moving him to the backup point guard. Unless you could Arthur and Jokic, Denver does not have a deadeye three point big, and Frye could help them spread the floor. Frye would help open up room for Jokic to operate and benefit from his fantastic passing ability.
