Trade #5: The Chaotic Bulls

The Cleveland Cavaliers acquire Taj Gibson and Rajon Rondo; the Chicago Bulls acquire Channing Frye, DeAndre Liggins, and Iman Shumpert.

Why Cleveland would do this trade:

The Cavaliers need a point guard. While Rajon Rondo may not be the perfect targets since his lackluster shooting, he could be a cheap one. The Bulls may give him up easier than anticipated and with the Cavs cap how it is they could also ask for a guy like Gibson. I would love Gibson operating the bench for the Cavaliers. His mid-range jumper, offensive rebounding presence, and overall talented style would lead him to be one of the most effective Cavaliers.

Why Chicago would do this trade:

Why not? Taj Gibson is aging and Rajon Rondo is a problem. Just be logic it seems that Rondo would not mind being traded to a contender in the Cavs. Along with that trading him, they could get back some defense presence in Liggins and Shump and some more offense firepower in Frye and Shump that the Bulls could use to exploit teams. Isn’t Hoiberg just about scoring anyway?
