Trade #4: A Deal with Charlotte
Charlotte acquires Channing Frye and DeAndre Liggins; Cleveland acquires Marco Belinelli.
Why Cleveland would do this deal:
The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking for a play maker. It is obvious. LeBron even called them out for it, and it is my mission to get them one. Some players, like Gerald Green, I favor more than others, and I don’t think that the Cavs should have a problem giving up Frye for Belinelli. McRae, who is a better scorer, would take Liggins minutes, and the Cavs second unit would be lethal again.
Why Charlotte would do this deal:
Charlotte just did a deal that send Hawes, a three-point shooting big to Milwaukee. Losing him may hurt how they space the floor for their superstar point guard Kemba Walker. Frye would take the role of Hawes and Liggins would give them a much needed perimeter defender. This trade would help Charlotte maybe even more than Cleveland.
