Trade #11: LA Lakers- The Perfect Scenario

Lakers acquire Jordan McRae, DeAndre Liggins, and Iman Shumpert; Cavaliers acquire Jose Calderon and Nick Young.

Why Cleveland would do it:

The Cavaliers would get their veteran point guard and playmaker. The Lakers aren’t even using Calderon. It’s to the point where he dropped out of the rotation. Nick Young may be the guy to stick around in the rotation after Smith returns. A second unit of Calderon, Smith, Young, Jefferson, and Frye might be incredible, but it would be fun as hell to watch.

Why Los Angeles would do it:

The Lakers want youth. They are 17-35 and are not anywhere near the playoffs. They would get two youthful guards that could eventually turn into role players AND they could get a replacement for Young in Shumpert. Shumpert could mentor and train the younger guys. His presence could be a nice plus for the Lakers.
