Whether or not James ever suits up for an NFL team is up for debate.

For his part, James said he would like to play at least one NFL game before it’s over.

Why not make it a whole season?

James is one of those unique athletes that should be able to play any sport and dominate. Like he does on the basketball court, James is the type of athlete that could play multiple positions in football as well. While he probably wouldn’t relish the physicality of playing defense, James would be one of the most dynamic wide receivers or tight ends in the league. Back in 2010, Randy Moss said he thought James could be better than Antonio Gates right off the bat.

Just this year, one NFL general manager said he thinks James could have been one of the greatest NFL tight ends of all-time. An anonymous scout thinks he could have been one of the ten best players of all-time.

Whether James plays in the NFL or not, it’s fun to wonder what could have been. However, if he does play in the NFL, these are five teams he could be the quarterback for.
