Denver Broncos

If there’s one thing that the Denver Broncos front office revealed about themselves in the four years that they had Peyton Manning it’s that they respect legends. If there’s one thing that the Denver Broncos as a team have revealed, it’s that they need a long-term quarterback.

The defense for the Broncos has taken a step back this season, however, it’s the offense that has taken the biggest hit. With all of the receiving options that the Broncos have it’s a shame that they aren’t being featured as much in the offense. It’s not necessarily Coach Kubiak’s West Coast offense either. The mismatches just aren’t being exploited pre-snap and Trevor Simien isn’t an incredibly dynamic passer at quarterback.

Last year, the Denver Broncos offense ran smoothly under Manning rather than Brock Osweiler because the former put them under the guidance of a cerebral passer who makes sure he’s done his pre-snap reads thoroughly. James is the conductor of his Cleveland Cavaliers team and over the course of his career, he’s shown that he can read defenses and be proactive in exploiting the other’s team weakness.

John Elway should definitely consider signing James if he ever opts to play for the NFL. He could be one of the top three quarterbacks in franchise history.
