1,700th Field Goal

Thompson is known as a beast on the boards and, in particular, his skill in rebounding on the offensive end of the court. His offensive rebounds often lead to field goals, be they tip-ins, put-back layups or dunks. Thompson currently has 1,461 field goals and a career average of 3.8 per game. At that rate, over his career average of 77 games per year, Thompson can get 294 field goals this season. That puts him at 1,755, hitting the 1,700th field goal mark and beyond.
