A Look Back: Love, Tristan, JR and the Rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Top Plays of the Finals
Kevin Love’s Defense on Steph Curry, Game 7
The score was 89-89 and it had been more than four minutes since anyone had scored. There were several attempts to steal the lead, but none were successful until finally, Kyrie swished in a three. After 6 games and about 47 minutes, Cleveland was leading the Warriors by three points.

But the game wasn’t over, there was still work to be done. LeBron had The Block, Kyrie had The Three and now it was Kevin Love, the last of Cleveland’s “Big Three,” who stepped up with his defense on Steph Curry. He had switched on to Curry, who, drooling at the matchup, moved from side to side with his crossovers. But Love danced around with him, staying on him, defending him and denying him that three-pointer he so often makes. The Warriors had not scored since 4:39 and would not score again, as the Cavs took home the Larry O’Brien trophy in a storybook ending only fit for a King.
