LeBron James: 10 Best Playoff Performances
Game 7 vs San Antonio, 2013 NBA Finals
Following a historic Game 6 win, the Heat were one home victory away from back-to-back titles for the first time in the franchise’s history.
However, becoming the first team to defeat the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals required LeBron James to be at his very best.
Throughout the series, Gregg Popovich had dared James to take and make jump shots. After being hesitant to take the shots the Spurs gave him in the first half of the series, James turned up his aggression as the series wore on, eventually making the Spurs pay.
James nailed 5-of-10 three-pointers as he scored 37 points to go along with 12 rebounds and four assists.
With Miami clinging to a two-point lead, James was able to ice the game by nailing a 15-foot elbow jumper over Kawhi Leonard to secure his second championship.
