Up against a team that was infamously constructed to defeat James’ Miami Heat, the series was just beginning to heat up with the Brooklyn Nets winning Game 3 at home.
This was an unusual game for James, who normally looks to pass to his teammates. James registered just two assists, but made up for it by scoring in an assortment of ways.
James finished with 49 points, tying his career high, as Miami scraped to a 102-96 win to take command of the series.
The Heat would go all the way to the NBA Finals before succumbing to the San Antonio Spurs in what was James’ final season with the Miami Heat.
