The MLB All-Star Game and festivities were completed on Tuesday night. The handful of days where baseball players, writers and fans gather in one city to share big moments over the span of three days.

The NBA All-Star Game lasts an entire weekend, with the players getting a full week off before returning to their gruesome schedule. Players, writers and fans travel to one city to see the best leapers, shooters and talent in the basketball world.

In some respects, the events are all similar in that they provide great entertainment in a number of different ways. There are supplemental events that lead up to the All-Star Game itself that provide their own entertainment and can dominate conversations at the water cooler for weeks.
