Dwyane Wade Watch: Durant’s Decision Heightens Cleveland Cavaliers Chances At Signing Free Agent
Relationships Are Important People!
Dwyane Wade had an interesting reaction to the news of Kevin Durant joining the Warriors. He did so in the form of a tweet, saying that relationships are important. Whether this was a jab at the Heat and Pat Riley, or foreshadowing the future remains to be seen.
Wade has kept his meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks scheduled for Wednesday. Marquette University, where Wade starred in college, is in Milwaukee.
Wade reportedly took a private jet to Cleveland with LeBron James. Also on the jet, Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert.
While Milwaukee may be a longshot, especially with their extremely young roster, Cleveland has a serious chance to sign Wade.
LeBron, his best friend and former teammate with the Miami Heat, had discussed reuniting with Wade in-game. The cameras and microphones in the arena picked up their conversation on Christmas Day, 2014.
LeBron is the de facto General Manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers from the outside looking in. All transaction ideas might not be his, but all of them seemingly had his stamp of approval first.
There’s no way James doesn’t approve of Wade. In fact, not only would he take a paycut to play with Wade, he would have the team clear all the cap space Wade wanted to (without severely gouging the team’s existing talent). Off the court, the chemistry between LeBron and Wade is palpable.
On the court, these two have a relationship where the sparks fly like Independence Day fireworks.
