Did Kyle Lowry take a jab at LeBron James in his post-game interview?

Did Kyle Lowry take a not so subtle shot at LeBron James?
The Cleveland Cavaliers clinched their spot in the Eastern Conference Finals over a week ago.
They didn’t know who their opponent would be until Sunday afternoon, and that will be the Toronto Raptors. Yes…the Toronto Raptors are advancing to their first Eastern Conference Finals in franchise history.
Kyle Lowry led the way for the Raptors in Game 7, scoring 35 points with nine assists and seven rebounds.
Lowry took some heat earlier in the series for his inefficient play, but in Game 7 he was efficient to say the least. He shot 11-20 from the field, and was 5-7 from three-point land.
After the game Kyle Lowry stopped for a post-game interview with ESPN’s Doris Burke:
“LeBron is probably one of the best players in the league besides Steph.”
For most players that should come across as a compliment. For LeBron James, he might take it as a challenge.
During the NBA Finals last season we all know what LeBron said in his press conference after losing Game 5. A reporter asked him if he felt confident going into Game 6, and LeBron said that “I feel confident because I’m the best player in the world.”
There’s no question LeBron believes he is the best player in the NBA when he’s at the top of his game. I don’t believe Lowry intentionally took a jab at LeBron by saying that, but it’s clear who Lowry thinks the best player in the NBA is, and it isn’t LeBron.
Just a few days ago LeBron came out and said that Steph Curry deserved the MVP award, but he questioned the true meaning of the term “valuable.”
“I think sometimes the word ‘valuable’ or best player of the year can have different results,” said LeBron James. He definitely has a point, but everyone in the media jumped to the conclusion that LeBron was saying that he deserved the MVP. Which is probably true.

I think LeBron realizes that this might be a “do or die” year for him. If he were to lose in the NBA Finals again this year to the Warriors, it would give Steph Curry the same amount of championship rings as him. If Curry doesn’t already own the NBA spotlight, he definitely would with another NBA Finals win over LeBron and the Cavaliers.
In conclusion, I don’t believe Kyle Lowry intentionally took a jab at LeBron in his interview, but you can bet LeBron took it as one. The last thing the Toronto Raptors needed to do was give LeBron James any extra motivation. They are already big enough under-dogs.
Do you think Lowry was taking a jab at LeBron?
