The Cleveland Cavaliers take on the San Antonio Spurs tonight. What can you learn in preparation for Cavs Vs Spurs?

We went behind enemy lines to gather information from Air Alamo on what makes the Spurs tick and other things we thought were important for Cavs fans before Cavs Vs Spurs tonight:

1. If you had to pick one key, what has led the Spurs to their great record this season?

The play of the new additions to the team. LaMarcus Aldridge came from a team where he was the main offensive option to a team where it is Kawhi Leonard‘s. His scoring has dropped-off but the way he has come in and been a true professional and knowing when to pick his spots has been the big key. He definitely picks up on the scoring end for Duncan as his scoring has dropped.

2. On the floor, how has LaMarcus Aldridge and Tim Duncan made things work? Who is doing what?

Respect. I think both players respect one another. Duncan is a future Hall of Famer of the league and Aldridge has a high basketball IQ and knows he can learn from the leagues best to play the position. Duncan knows that his scoring ability has diminished and with getting Aldridge and Leonard seemingly carrying the load, he has gone elsewhere and used his passing ability to free up LA.

3. The Cavs were in on David West this off-season, what has he given the Spurs on his ultra cheap contract?

A physical player. West has been the player that is a bruiser. He is not afraid to get into the mix and throw his weight around and make opponents know that he is around. West also has a mid-range shot that extends the defense out and makes them think twice about stepping out on him. Though he is not fast, West can get to the rim and draw fouls.

4. What about the Cavs worries you the most going into this game?

You would think LeBron James or Kyrie Irving would be what worries anyone the most. I would though have to say Kevin Love is that player. Love can do it all. Solid player on both sides of the ball. Offensively he has the skills that many hope for. He can shoot, pass and finish down in the paint. He is a remarkable rebounder and the Spurs need to be sure they put a body on him.

5. What is your prediction for this big time matchup?

Defiantly this could be a preview of the NBA Finals. These two teams right now are on fire. One of these teams will see their winning streaks end, for the Cavaliers their eight game-streak and the Spurs, a nine game winning streak and possibly their first lost at home this season and a 31 game winning streak from last year broken as well. I think this game will go back and forth. It will be a high-octane style game and will definitely have that ‘playoff atmosphere’ to it.
