#4 Alonzo Gee

There’s nothing spectacular about Alonzo Gee’s numbers, nothing that stands out well during his time with the Cavs. He did, however, provide consistent numbers night in and night out.

Like most of the players on this list, Gee was a consistent scorer, capable of double-figure scoring streaks for several games. In 2012-13, Gee scored in double digits 47 times, complementing Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters, Anderson Varejao, and Tristan Thompson nicely with solid production whenever he was called upon.

…Gee became the first Cavalier to shoot perfectly on at least eight field goal attempts (8-for-8) since Anderson Varejao

Going against the Denver Nuggets on February 9, 2013, Gee became the first Cavalier to shoot perfectly on at least eight field goal attempts (8-for-8) since Anderson Varejao had a 10-for-10 night on November 5, 2010.

Additionally, Alonzo was the first ever Cav to score at least 15 points during the first six minutes of a first quarter since Lamond Murray did it versus the L.A. Lakers on Jan. 12, 2001, according to Elias.

In his three-year stay in Cleveland, Alonzo averaged a respectable 8.3 points per game, topping out at 10.6 points during the 2011-12 season, followed by a 10.3 average during the 2012-13 season.

You could say that he “held the fort” until LeBron came back in the 2014-15 season to reclaim his starting spot at the small forward position. Gee was eventually traded for Brenden Haywood and the No. 45 overall pick which turned into Dwight Powell.
