A little less here for the Cavs but the Knicks basically have very little to deal. Love and Carmelo Anthony would be interesting but would give the Knicks two quality players that could help draw players to the Big Apple. Giving up the #4 pick isn’t tough given Love’s talents and the future 1st Round Pick will be protected some.
For the Cavs, this trade isn’t perfect but would be interesting to see where things would go. At the 4th pick a few players could be available. Russell could still be there, Jahlil Okafor could fall to 4 or Euro star Kristaps Porzingis could be an interesting stretch 4/5 who can block shots.
Emmanuel Mudiay could be a Bledsoe like guard but is a long defensive minded guard who has put in work on his shooting, already having good form, and could partner with Irving in the backcourt for years to come. Tim Hardaway Jr. looked like he was impacted greatly by having too much responsibility with the Knicks last year. His rookie year he was seen as a building block shooter. He can start or come off the bench for the Cavs.
The Cavs would likely look to use the Knicks future pick to try to acquire a big man this off-season.
