A much bigger trade but an interesting one none the less. DeMarcus Cousins and George Karl seem to be on the outs with each other, leading to trade discussions. Cousins is different than Love but creates an interesting dynamic for both teams. Cousins would give the Cavs an inside player that can play in the post, be a good enough defender and has decent range.

Love would give the Kings a shooter who can help them get up and down the court, something they really want to do. They are reportedly interested in moving Darren Collison and Nik Stauskas to try to create room for Rajon Rondo. The Kings get the 24th pick in exchange for them and cut Brendan Haywood’s contract to create the space in free agency.

For the Cavs, Cousins is an interesting fit with Tristan Thompson, Timofey Mozgov and Anderson Varejao on the inside. LeBron is the type of leader that should motivate him and keep him in line. He is talented and could put the Cavs over the top. Collison gives them a backup point guard that can start if Irving isn’t ready to start the season. Stauskas is worth the risk as another shooter who can create a little off the dribble as well.
