Their are 4 NBA teams remaining in the playoffs. Obviously the Cavaliers, Hawks, Warriors, and Rockets. All of those teams have a superstar (or two superstars) on their roster. Except for one team…
Atlanta is the only team remaining that does not have a superstar, and they are proving that having a star on your team is required.
Magic Johnson said this himself too:
The Hawks have some great players on their team. Jeff Teague, DeMarre Carroll, and Al Horford are great NBA players, but they are not superstars.
They have struggled to score in this series, and they have been unable to push the tempo. Atlanta only had 8 fastbreak points in Game 2, and that played to the Cleveland Cavaliers’ advantage.
You can play a ton of ISO ball if you have LeBron James on your team. But unfortunately for the Hawks, they don’t have him on the roster.
