Cavs Vs Bulls: 3 Things to Watch in Game 2

facebooktwitterreddit

After a bumpy start to Game One of Cavs Vs Bulls, the Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to even up a series that many people believe is the best in the postseason. Although Game One ended much closer than it looked throughout the game, the Cavaliers are looking to take that close loss and use it as momentum through the rest of this difficult series. Wednesday at 7Pm est. there are a few things that spectators should be looking for.

1. Is it time for LeBron to take over?

After Game One, many people said that LeBron James was playing “soft” and he didn’t play as well as he could. Maybe he wasn’t playing his best, but tonight he may be. If he is able to control the entire game Wednesday night than the Cavaliers shouldn’t have the same result as Game One. He may not need to score 40 points tonight, but he should be the one taking the ball down the court at all times and should score more for the team that 19 points.. If he is able to control the game, watch for LeBron to become the freak ball player he can be during Game Two and bring this series back to .500.

2. Can the Cavs win if they start slow?

The Cavaliers haven’t started a game this postseason on the right foot. During the Conference Quarterfinals against the Celtics, the Cavs finished games much closer than they needed to because of these slow starts. Then they showed that these slow starts may not be going away and the Bulls took full advantage of that. The Cavaliers showed that they had all the opportunities to defeat the Bulls in Game One but their slow start to the game ruined all chances. The Cavaliers have continued to show that they aren’t going to change these slow starts so now it’s up to them to find a way to win with them. If the Cavs aren’t going to score much in the first quarter of this series, they should at least play dominant defense and stop the Bulls from pulling away early. The Cavs may not change the way they play during the first quarter of games, but they need to find a way to win with these slow starts.

3. Rose vs. Irving

The biggest headline of Game One was Derrick Rose vs. Kyrie Irving and their insane offensive showcase during the game. Althought Rose’s team ultimately defeated Irving’s, what looked like a 1v1 game was as entertaining as the game itself. The two’s combined 55 points in Game One gave fans a reason to watch Game Two and see how their battle continued. Although Irving bested Rose by scoring 30 points and 6 assists while Rose scored 25 points and 5 assist, the back and forth play they displayed was phenomenal. During Game Two, the continued fight between these two stars will be as entertaining as the game itself.
