Kyrie Irving Is Playing Out Of His Mind Right Now

The Cleveland Cavaliers are rolling at the moment, but Kyrie Irving is playing out of his mind and no one seems to be caring.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in the middle of another winning streak, but there is one player who is having an insane run that no one really seems to be noticing.

While the NBA world is obsessed with Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry and James Harden, Kyrie Irving has quietly had one of the most impressive two games runs that any point guard has ever had.

Over the last two games, Kyrie Irving has 90 points and is shooting over 92 percent from three-point range. That’s insane, and looking at his shot charts give an idea of just how out of his mind Kyrie Irving is playing.

Against the Spurs on Thursday night, when Kyrie went for 57-points, he didn’t miss a single shot from beyond the arc. It’s hard to have a perfect night shooting, and its especially hard to go perfect from beyond the arc when you shoot seven times.

That’s an insane shot selection by Irving, especially from three-point range. But his shot selection overall has been fantastic, especially from inside. Just look at the shots that Kyrie took down low, driving to the basket — that’s crazy efficient.

Irving can clearly hit three pointers all day long, but his selection from a closer range has been stellar and he’s only getting better.

Against the Magic, Irving continued to light it up from beyond the arc, but again his mid-range shot selection was fantastic again.

That’s right, Kyrie Irving missed just three shots on the night against the Magic .

Ummmm, what?

Kyrie Irving is playing out of his mind — plain and simple. He’s on a tear that no one seems to be as obsessed with as they are with other players in the MVP race, but Kyrie needs to get some attention and some love for this streak he’s on.

Considering how bad this team was at the beginning of the season and the questions we were asking about Kyrie when he was slumping with his assist game, this is a streak everyone should be all over. It’s not the end of the world the Kyrie’s streak is getting overshadowed, because it’s only a two game streak and it’s not enough to get him in the MVP race.

But the fact that his streak is getting swept under the rug, so to speak, should only light a fire under the Cavs guard in the postseason — the perfect time for him to get angry good.
