Intangibles
We all knew that this team was going to take time to build and create chemistry and feel comfortable with one another but a lot of times this season, it’s simply seemed like the Cavaliers haven’t had fun while playing. From heads being down to the bench looking like someone grabbed a bunch of strangers and sat them next to each other, Cleveland didn’t seem to enjoy one another’s company.
Well, like they say, winning cures everything and that is something that has definitely happened to this squad.
Now all of a sudden, this team is now high-fiving a whole lot more, smiles are popping up all over the Q and the bench is erupting on multiple plays, especially when the team makes a great defensive play.

Cleveland is starting to do the little things- diving for loose balls, encouraging one another on a regular basis and acknowledging the coaching staff when an inbounds play works like a charm and it has resulted in a team looking much more happier with each other. It seems like basketball is fun again in Cleveland.
A very underrated part of basketball is how the mood in the locker-room is and how teammates are getting along. No championship team has a depressed locker-room and truthfully, it felt like the Cavs were depressed in the locker-room earlier in the season. The entire moral of the team just seemed to be down. Now though, whether it was David Blatt’s bowling experiment or Matthew Dellavedova getting Anderson Varejao to become a member of the Magpie Army (which is the more likely of the two, as anyone who is a Collingwood fan is happy- yes this is coming from an extremely biased Magpie fanatic) the moral of the team seems to be at an all-time high. I can’t think of any other way of putting this- everything involved with this team just seems to be fun, just like we expected it to be. Fred McLeod and Austin Carr are having a ball commentating, twitter has became fun to go on during games again and most importantly, the players are simply, yep you guessed it, seem to be having more fun.
Lets keep the good times rolling Cleveland.
And a memo to the rest of the NBA: watch out, something special is brewing by Lake Erie.
