The New Year has begun and as a new 365-day journey begins, another one ends. For the Cleveland Cavaliers, the calendar year of 2014 was one unlike no other. As Cavs fans, 2014 made us cry, laugh, angry, disappointed, believe, forgive and question. Those are only some of the things Cavalier fans experienced during the roller coaster of 2014 and quite frankly, expect 2015 to bring out many more emotions of the Cavalier faithful.

While the Cavs enter 2015 in a much better position then they entered 2014, the team is currently facing adversity in every way. Despite the 60-win pre-season predictions, the Cavs currently possess an underwhelming 18-14 record and have suffered some embarrassing losses to the likes of the New York Knicks, Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons. That being said, the Cavs have also put up some very impressive victories, taking down the likes of the Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors (twice), Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks. There have been games where the Cavaliers look like the unstoppable force many expected them to by and we have seen games where the Cavs look like a group who looks disinterested and disjointed.

With all of that being said, let’s take a look at some key areas the Cavaliers are going to need to focus on heading into the New Year.
