The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without Kyrie Irving again tonight due to his sore left knee:
Blatt also reported he hopes to have Irving against the Hawks.
The Cavs will likely again start Matthew Dellavedova in Irving’s place.
Without Irving the Cavs will again be trying to make things work without their full compliment of players. With Anderson Varejao out for the year and Tristan Thompson just inserted into the starting lineup, the team needs time to gel.
Irving has had a history of injuries and the Cavs are right to play it safe with their young superstar. Knee injuries can often impact other parts of legs. With a weak knee more pressure can go on the ankle or other knee.

Irving has been stellar this season on the offensive end and has improved greatly on the defensive side of the ball, although he still is limited there. He is second on the team with just under 20 points per game, second in assists and leads the team in steals.
The offense will continue to run through LeBron James. Without Irving, Dion Waiters is expected to get more time on the court. Waiters has played well in a more focal role but struggles when he is the fourth or fifth option. Waiters is extremely talented and is finding his way.
Not having Irving could be less problematic tonight against the Detroit Pistons but more important against the Atlanta Hawks.
Any concerns about Kyrie Irving being out again tonight?
