Pro: He’d Open Up The Offense If He Gets Back To His Old Self

This is the gamble that the Charlotte Hornets went in on and are paying for dearly. Wanting Lance Stephenson to be the guy he was in Indiana is going to be a conundrum that many teams wrestle with as they try to justify trading for him this season as getting the Lance of old is a steal at the price he’s set at.
Of course, the Hornets won’t give him up for free. But if he can get back to the level of production he was at near the beginning of last season, then there’s no reason to believe he wouldn’t open up the offense for the Cavaliers and provide them with the scoring they need to make up for the terrible defense.
