The Toronto Raptors are third in the Eastern Conference, and have been playing solid basketball since trading Rudy Gay to the Sacramento Kings. A huge reason for the successful stretch has been the excellent play of Lowry.

The Raptors had to have at least one All-Star nomination for the East, and DeMar DeRozan was picked ahead of Lowry. It’s understandable, although you could make a case that Lowry has been more important to the Raptors. DeRozan makes a lot of highlight plays and is averaging a career-high 21.8 points. However, Lowry is also having the best season of his career and has been very efficient, while fueling Toronto’s offense.
