3. Miami Heat (No Change)

They’ve had an indifferent start to the season. The Greg Oden gamble hasn’t really resulted in much so far and Michael Beasley has only contributed in blowouts.

LeBron James went some way in re-assuring the doubters this team is still the team to beat, taking over down the stretch and sinking the eventual game-winner against Orlando Saturday night with just fifteen seconds left. Funny how all that ‘not clutch’ talk has slowly disappeared altogether over the last two seasons.

4. Portland Trail Blazers (Up 6)

Friday night’s win over the Bulls made it 10 straight victories for the Trail Blazers. Three of their four wins this week came by nine or more points. LaMarcus Aldridge is averaging 22.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game – All-Star level production and Wesley Matthews is shooting a scarcely believable 52.5% from behind the arc on 5.7 attempts per game.
