3. San Antonio Spurs (2-1, no change)

San Antonio in the regular season are tough to get a handle on. They always end up at or near the top of the conference yet never truly look like a side capable of winning it all. Then they go on their usual April-May run when the offense is like a work of art and everyone is healthy. For now, a loss to the Trail Blazers on the road tempers a good start with wins against the depleted Lakers and Memphis.

4. Los Angeles Clippers (2-1, Up 1)

Who said Lob City was dead? Clearly nobody got the memo in the blue half of Staples Center this week. Hiring Doc Rivers has changed the complexion of this team in a huge way and whoever traded them J.J. Redick has given them the perfect piece.

They got punched in the mouth on opening night by the Lakers but made amends in a wildly entertaining victory over the Warriors on Wednesday. Look at that offensive rating, courtesy of playing such defensive sieves as Sacramento and the Lakers.
