4. Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets got worse. They lost Andre Igoudala. They fired George Karl. Their genius General Manager fled to Toronto. Their starting center is now a Grizzly. And yet their bench is still reasonably intimidating. Nate Robinson will singlehandedly win games for Denver. Andre Miller is old, but may be the sneakiest (and I don’t mean that pejoratively) player in the NBA. Darrell Arthur is a dead-eye pick-and-pop big. Wilson Chandler would be a boon to any starting line-up. Anthony Randolph still inspires those of us with poetic souls to pray for a day that he puts it all together. Timofey Mozgov, Randy Foye, and J.J. Hickson have all been around the block, logged a lot of minutes and know their damn jobs. For a team that has a history of pushing the pace in that thin mountain air, a bevy of trusted reserves is not a luxury but a requirement. The Nuggets won’t be the powerhouse they were last year, but they’re bench is under the radar solid.
