Recent reports suggest that Kobe Bryant is way ahead of schedule (surprise, surprise) and could be ready for opening night. I’m very skeptical of these reports to say the least and don’t think Kobe will be playing, but this is still a huge game. Yes, the Lakers will be horrible next year but any time these two teams step out on the floor of Staples Center to put forth a show in front of Hollywood, it’s exciting.
