4. Jeremy Lamb, Guard, Oklahoma City Thunder
Vitals: 6’5″, 180 lbs., 21 years old
2012-13 Stats: 3.1 points (.353/.300/1.000), 0.8 rebound, 0.2 assist (0.3 turnover), 0.1 steal, 0.1 block (0.6 foul) in 6.4 minutes (23 games)
Summer League: Orlando (1st Team)
Rationale: If Kevin Martin was James Harden lite, then Jeremy Lamb is Kevin Martin lite. Make no mistake, Lamb is a short-term downgrade. However, the Thunder no longer have the luxury of incubating Lamb in the D-League. Technically, Reggie Jackson will probably be the Thunder’s sixth man, but Lamb will have to share the burden of carrying an offensively limited bench. There is no question whether or not Lamb can score, but it remains to be seen how efficient he’ll be and whether he can do anything else. He won’t be asked to do much off the dribble, but another guy who can create his own shot is always a plus, especially come playoffs.
