#26. Utah Jazz
2012-2013: 43-39
Head Coach: Tyrone Corbin
Signed: Andris Biedrins, Trey Burke, Alec Burks, Jeremy Evans, Derrick Favors, Rudy Gobert, Gordon Hayward, Richard Jefferson, Enes Kanter, Jerel McNeal, Brandon Rush, Marvin Williams
Rationale: The Jazz actually had a top 16 record last year (15th, to be exact), but they finished a heartbreaking ninth in the Western Conference. They won’t repeat that mistake next season. After losing four starters from last year, the Jazz should win 10-15 fewer games next season. However, the Jazz won’t be trotting out total scrubs next season. Getting rid of the veterans ends up as addition by subtraction as it opens up more time for promising younger players who won’t necessarily maximize wins in 2013-2014.
