Top 30 NBA Players Of 2012-13
12. Marc Gasol (170 points)
It wasn’t necessarily that Marc Gasol made significant improvements as a player, but he finally gained recognition for it. He won the Defensive Player of the Year, displayed versatility on the offensive end, set up his teammates and orchestrated the defense either by helping his teammates or by being vocal and making sure everyone is doing their job.
11. Dwyane Wade (190 points)
Wade received votes from all 10 writers, but there were very mixed opinions on his season. His highest rank was fourth and he went as low as 27th on another voter’s list. This can be attributed to the fact that Wade got hurt towards the end of the year and limped throughout the postseason. Disregarding that, he had a great year and was as solid as ever in the regular season.
