8. New York Knicks

Before Carmelo Anthony’s league-leading 28.7 points per game during the 2012-13 regular season, the last New York Knicks player to win the scoring title was Bernard King almost 30 years ago. With Iman Shumpert and Steve Novak also contributing strong shooting while Tyson Chandler and Kenyon Martin protected the hoop, the Knicks had a well-balanced frontcourt. Rasheed Wallace played just 21 games for New York, but the signing of Martin in late February was important in helping win the franchise’s first playoff series in more than a decade.
