The day before the playoffs is one of pure torture for many basketball fans. Not only is it a night without basketball, that enough is something that can ruin a day completely, but the regular season is also over which means we can no longer immerse ourselves in the League Pass orgie that is eight games going on simultaneously. Combine this mourning with the fevered anticipation of the playoffs, and all the thrilling basketball that it brings, and this one day of tedium seems like an eternity.

Don’t worry though, I’m here to help, in whatever small way I can. Perhaps if we reflect on the regular season that was, we can get through this twenty-four hours of torture with no lasting scars. What better way to keep your mind off an absence of basketball then a celebration of the plays that we most looked forward to seeing every night. These are the five plays I humbly ranked as my favorite as, with their pick and rolls and their slipped screens and stretched fours, they are what I look upon most fondly on this dark day of basketball vacancy.
