Denver Nuggets need Ty Lawson

The Nuggets 15-game winning streak came to an end last night, as the New Orleans Hornets won by 24 points.

Yesterday’s game was just further proof of how dependant the Nuggets are on the performance of their starting point guard. Greivis Vasquez and Eric Gordon both sat out the game for New Orleans, and there is no excuse for Denver to lose against a starting backcourt of Brian Roberts and Darius Miller.

Roberts did an excellent job in his start for the Hornets, dishing out a career-high 18 assists.

As good as the Nuggets have looked lately, they will go only as far as Lawson takes them.
