Andrew Nicholson makes the biggest jump up on this list, all the way up to eight. Perhaps he is not putting up mind-blowing numbers, but his hard-working mentality has really opened up a lot of eyes.
Nicholson only plays 17 minutes per game, but he almost always leaves an impact on the game. His offense needs work, but when he is on the floor the Magic are still registering a positive net score difference. With the 23-year-old playing, Orlando allows their opponents 7.2 points less per 100 possessions.
He is efficient, doesn’t take ill-advised shots and does the dirty work.
Statistics this season: 8.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 54 FG%, 17 mpg
(Originally picked 8th overall: Terrence Ross, Toronto Raptors)
