Just when we thought things couldn’t get worse, it seems like the Golden State Warriors have improved while the Cleveland Cavaliers remain stagnant.

While the Cleveland Cavaliers are just trying to find a general manager, the Golden State Warriors have made a couple of quiet additions that will improve their already historic team.

The Golden State Warriors, who demolished the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals winning four out of five games, have signed Omri Casspi. The Mercury News said this regarding the signing of Casspi:

"On Tuesday afternoon, veteran forward Omri Casspi agreed to a one-year deal with the Warriors, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Casspi signed for the veteran minimum, which is $2.1 million, as first reported by the Washington Post’s Tim Bontemps."

Casspi, who is a veteran sharpshooter coming from Sacramento, is joining an already deep team. While his minutes may be scarce, having a weapon like Casspi coming off the bench will certainly help the Warriors.

It does not stop with Casspi. The Warriors were able to sign Durant to a less-than-max contract for two years, AND they were able to lock down their superstar Steph Curry for the next five. They are also in the hunt for the Lakers sharpshooter Nick Young.

So, while the Warriors are upping the ante with sharpshooters, what are the Cavaliers doing?

They didn’t resign their beloved general manager, they were rejected by Chauncey Billups, and they have only signed Jose Calderon. Without a draft pick and with only rumored trades floating around, the Cleveland Cavaliers have had a less-than-productive offseason. Their only hope now will be to acquire Carmelo Anthony without giving up Kevin Love, or they could somehow manage to convince Rudy Gay to join the Land.

That big four could rival the Warriors big four, but the deal must be right. The Cavaliers should know that they must start to make moves. Dan Gilbert, the owner of the Cavaliers, might end up appointing Koby Altman, David Griffin’s understudy, as the new president of basketball operations.

Altman and his staff will certainly have their work cut out for them as their rival, Golden State, has had a terrific offseason and continues to improve.
