According to DJ Steph Floss, the Cleveland Cavaliers won’t be playing Drake’s music at The Q as they take on the Toronto Raptors.

It sounds like the Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t done taunting the Toronto Raptors. They’ve went from off-the-backboard alley-oops in the first quarter, to fake drinking beers mid-game during a blowout, to refusing to play the music of an artist who may be the most well-known Toronto-native in America, Drake.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took Game 1 against the Toronto Raptors with an impressive 116-105 win that wasn’t ever in question. The Raptors never really looked like they were in the game, in the box score or mentally. While James may have gotten in their heads with that thunderous slam made not even three minutes into the first quarter, the Cavs started to get in the Raptors heads before the game.

Before the game, the Cleveland Cavaliers official DJ, DJ Steph Floss, sent out a tweet saying that the team won’t be playing any of multi-platinum recording artist Drake’s music in the series.

Drake is the most famous Raptors fan.

He’s also one of LeBron James’s favorite rappers. James even heard Drake’s new album More Life before the rest of the world did.

In fact, on any other day you could hear Drake’s music is played at the Q throughout the game.

If you’re a fan of the versatile musician, unfortunately you won’t be hearing any of Drake at the Q anytime soon. Even if the Cavs sweep the Raptors, you’d have to wait until the start of the Eastern Conference Finals to hear Drake at The Q.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Cavs did something like this. Earlier in the playoffs they muted out the word “Oracle”, which is a reference to the Golden State Warriors, when playing Drake’s song “Free Smoke” pregame.

Despite Drake and LeBron’s friendship, their friendship didn’t stop LeBron from staring Drake down during Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals last year.

We’ll see if we get another moment like this when the series shifts to Toronto on Friday.

Until then, we’ll have to settle for the Cleveland Cavaliers refusing to play the music of the Toronto Raptors team ambassador.
