On April 20th, the Cleveland Cavaliers did the unthinkable, and by the grace of God, I was able to attend this incredible game.

Coming up the steps and around the bends, it didn’t quite dawn on me that the absolutely unthinkable might happen. Most people already counted the Cleveland Cavaliers out in this game. I mean, they were up 2-0, and it was their first away game. Why did they even need to win?

Really, down 26 at half, would you have been upset if Cleveland threw in the white flag?

After all the yellow shirts were requested to be on the back’s of some of basketball’s best fans in Indianapolis, the game got ugly, and it just kept getting worse. After Lance Stephenson came in with all his energy and enthusiasm that got the crowd absolutely thrilled, I thought it was over.

More from King James Gospel

As halftime drew near, I couldn’t take it and went to get a below-average and overpriced quesadilla, but for the moment, it kept my mind off of the 26-point deficit my favorite team was facing.

That’s just the glory of having the best player on the planet playing on your team. The game is never over. LeBron James truly redefines the definition of never.

The Cavs knocked the lead down to about 14 before a Lance Stephenson three thrilled the crowd and extended the lead back to 20. It was about 20 with 4-6 minutes left in the third, and the comeback was on.

With no Irving or Love, James just dominated the second half, and it was a site to see. Most of the Pacer fans were just left dumbfounded because they had just been LeBroned. It was all him. If they put George on him, he would overpower him and score, and if they put Young on him, he would blow by him for one of his multiple dunks.

A lineup with James and lethal shooters is the definition of unguardable. Each three that hoisted in the fourth quarter just seemed to drop in the net every time. Whether it was Korver, Frye, or Deron Williams- this fourth quarter lineup without Irving and Love dominated.

The fans were done. They were exhausted and awed by LeBron and rightfully so. This will be a game that no one will ever forget, and it is just another example of how we should appreciate the greatness known as LeBron James.
