If the Cleveland Cavaliers have to face the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals this year, there’s a great chance they’ll win.

This offseason, all of the spotlight was shifted from the Cleveland Cavaliers as LeBron James and Co. delivered on his promise to a city of 396,815 people to the Golden State Warriors as they signed Kevin Durant.

Within all of the talk about the Golden State Warriors, there was little doubt that they would run through the league. The league wasn’t fair, they said. The league wasn’t fun. All before these new Warriors stepped on the court. After last night’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Wariors loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the season opener, two nationally televised games, it should be clear that these Warriors aren’t an immortal and unstoppable team.

All the while, the Cleveland Cavaliers are off to a 5-0 start and have defeated four playoff-worthy teams. They’re balanced. They shoot well from everywhere on the court while focusing on attacking the paint and getting the ball to open shooters.

The Big Three looks better than ever while playing in a system that caters to their abilities and the players around then fit the unit perfectly. Tyronn Lue wants these Cavs to be conditioned and to play fast. A defensive-minded head coach, Lue wants the Cleveland Cavaliers to pride themselves on being a great defensive unit as well as an elite offensive team.

The storyline this whole offseason has been the Warriors yet, in many ways, the Cavs look like the best team in the league.
