Cavs vs Bulls: 3 Things to Watch For in Game 5

LeBron James did it again. With 1.3 seconds left in a thrilling Game Four, LeBron hits the shot of the playoffs to put the Cleveland Cavaliers back into an even series with the Bulls. It seems as though every time one team pulls off the impossible, the other tops it. In this back and forth series it’s may be impossible to predict the outcome of the next Cavs Vs Bulls game, but we try…

1. Derrick Rose‘s Revenge

During Game One of this series, many people expected the big matchup to be Derrick Rose vs. Kyrie Irving. However, with Irving’s injury and LeBron James taking over the majority of the teams’ production, the fight has been between those two stars. It seemed as though LeBron won the battle during Sunday’s game, which means Rose is looking for revenge. Averaging 21.4 points per game this postseason, it won’t be a surprise if Rose puts up big numbers in Game Five. The Rose vs. LeBron matchup in Game Five should be much more than expected.

2. Kyrie Irving’s Impact

With a lingering knee and foot injury, Irving’s production has decreased dramatically throughout this series, averaging 25.5 points during the first two games and only 11.5 points since. Besides LeBron, the Cavaliers offense has not looked pretty since Irving suffered his injuries and to win this series they may need him to produce more. Even if Irving isn’t able to score as effectively as before, he still needs to produce some type of offensive numbers to help the Cavaliers. If Irving isn’t able to create some sort of offensive production in Game Five, the Cavaliers are going to find themselves in another close game.

3. Expect the Unexpected

You can’t explain what to expect because the unexpected has happened time and time again throughout this series. What to watch for in Game Five? Everything.

So far, this series has had all the makings of a historic postseason series. If Game Five of this Cavs vs Bulls showdown is nearly as entertaining as the last four, NBA fans have everything to be excited about. The impossible has happened time in and time out and should continue to happen, but then it may not. Through the rest of this dramatic series, what should be watched for, isn’t what will be watched.
