The NBA draft often brings a lot of surprises. Players who are not properly rated often escape the radar of NBA scouts and find themselves drafted significantly lower than they should have been.

Over the last 10 years we have seen a great deal of so called draft steals. These are players who were low lottery picks or even second round picks, but have surpassed all expectations. In restrospect, it is easy to look back and evaluate which players should have gone higher. That is what we will be doing here.

So, here are the top 50 biggest steals in the last 10 years (drafts 2003-2011).
