Shooting guard may be the most top heavy of all the positions in the NBA. To be one of the best at the two-spot you have to score as efficiently as possible, be a solid play-maker, and be a decent defender. Though, if I’m being honest, there aren’t many good defenders at the shooting guard position who can also score and pass well.

Before we start, I’d like to mention some guards who were close but didn’t quite make the cut: Tyreke Evans, Arron Afflalo and J.J. Redick.

With that said lets take a look at the top 10 shooting guards in the NBA, starting with #10.

Really. Kobe with five rings, playing at a phenomenal level at age 34. And you give the #1 spot to DWade? DWade plays with King James who takes the toughest defender of each team, conistently draws a double team, etc etc. Kobe has been making unbelievable shots with defenders draped all over him and the game on the line. Are you really watching his game this year. Its off the hook crazy good. I’m not sure of your criteria? Are you saying Wade is the best in his last game? This season? His career? Are you saying he could take Kobe 1 on 1? I don’t get it. This is talking head B.S. Some writer needs to get a life. I cant believe people get paid to write this drivel…wait a.a.a…. minute, I cant believe I got suckered in to reading this drivel. Sheeshhhh!!
