Happy Birthday LeBron James
It is now midday, December 31st down here in Australia but it is December 30th where LeBron James currently stands, and as such it is his 27th birthday. So I want to wish LeBron a happy birthday. Hopefully and surely we will see him win his first Championship very soon. Remember, Michael Jordan was 27 when he won his first Championship. Happy Birthday LeBron James
The Heat started as slowly as you could imagine, down 11-0 inside the opening moments, but staged a furious comeback on the back of stellar play from LeBron James and Chris Bosh to record their third consecutive victory to open the season. The young but confident Bobcats got out to a hot start and led throughout the game until the fourth quarter on the back of a breakout game from rookie sensation Kemba Walker and solid contributions from veterans Boris Diaw, DJ Augustine and DJ White. Miami emerged after the half Dwyane Wade-less, who had struggled throughout the game and [...]
Norris Cole, Miami Heat Defeat Boston Celtics 115-107
The title of the story may be confusing, but there is no mistake. Norris Cole, the highly touted rookie from Cleveland State, scored an incredible 14 points in the fourth quarter to help Miami close out the fast finishing Celtics. Cole was fearless in crunch time, making plays at both ends of the court and never panicking, despite at times being asked to bail Miami out late in the shot clock. I do not wish to delve any deeper into Cole’s game or the player he promises to become because I wish to write a separate piece on him which [...]
New York Knicks 106-104 Boston Celtics In the only non nationally and internationally televised game on Christmas Day, it provided perhaps the greatest battle of the season’s commencement. Madison Square Garden hasn’t had a buzz like this since Patrick Ewing and we’re slowly getting back to the days where every single Knicks game is as good a spectacle as anything else in North American sport. The Knicks, predictably, came out hot and had a double digit lead by the end of the first quarter. Anthony and Stoudemire were showing a renewed combination, something people had question marks over. The third [...]
Miami Heat Hammer Defending NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks 105-94, LeBron James Stars with 37
In three and a half quarters of pure annihilation, the Miami Heat reminded us why they are were the pre season favourites to win it all, completely outplaying the Dallas Mavericks in every aspect of the game. The opening night can be both a blessing and a curse for the defending champions. We’ve seen teams come out blazing hot and run away with their respective games on the back of the incredible emotion emanating from the pre game raising of the Championship banner. At the same time we’ve seen teams become overwhelmed from the celebration and have been unable to [...]

LeBron James Scores 27, Orlando Magic Down Miami Heat 104-100 in Final Pre Season Match
In the reverse fixture in the north of Florida the Magic exacted some meaningless revenge on the Heat, pulling off a comeback victory via some promising outside shooting. Big Baby Davis had 18 off the bench and seems to be really benefitting from his significant weight loss. Howard had 14 and 9 in what could have been his last game as a Magic player… LeBron James had a game high 27 points, again showing off his improved jump shot and post game. Miami jumped out to a hot start but were reeled back in by the third quarter and were [...]
Amare Stoudemire Accepts LeBron James’ Challenge
LeBron James and Amare Stoudemire are two of the faces of the new energy product called Sheets. Basically they are strips that dissolve on your tongue and give instant energy, much like an energy drink but much healthier for you. LeBron James actually co-founded the product, another business venture for a man that has identified his dream to be a billionaire athlete, and also opened his first clothing and accessory outlet this week in Ventura Mall, Miami, has Amare on board as one of the investors and ambassadors for the product. James issued a challenge to the world to come [...]
In what may be a sign of things to come, the Clippers travelled to the Staples Center and defeated the home town Lakers easily. Los Angeles, now known as Lob Angeles, or Lob City, was once a proud town painted exclusively in purple and gold. Yet the happenings of the past fortnight have left plenty of weather damage and red and blue are starting to appear. Chris Paul’s failed trade to the Lakers and successful move to the Clippers meant more as a statement than it did as a personnel move. That is saying a lot. The notoriously terrible franchise [...]
Dwight Howard is a Hypocrite, Spineless and a Sham
When most people think of Dwight Howard, they think of the dunking, blocking machine wearing a Superman cape and a big, toothy smile. When I think of Dwight Howard I think of a fraud. There is no doubting he is the finest big man in the game and undisputedly the best defensive player in the NBA. Whilst Shaquille O’Neal may go down as the most dominant big man in the history of the game, he couldn’t do what Dwight Howard does on a nightly basis. I am in no way disrespecting Dwight Howard the basketball player, I am very much [...]
