The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to keep the NBA In-Season Tournament hopes alive on Tuesday night, and they’ll need a big win over the Atlanta Hawks to do so.

Personally, I think the best way to bet on the Cavs in this game is in the prop market, and there are two players I have picks for on Tuesday.

Let’s break down the plays, including one for star Donovan Mitchell:

Hawks vs. Cavaliers best NBA prop bets

  • Donovan Mitchell OVER 26.5 points
  • Jarrett Allen UNDER 9.5 rebounds

Donovan Mitchell OVER 26.5 points

Donovan Mitchell is DUE.

Since returning from a hamstring injury, Mitchell has turned in two clunkers, shooting a combined 8-for-35 from the field in those games.

So, why bet on him to turn things around tonight?

Well, Atlanta plays at a fast pace (No. 3 in the NBA), and the team is just 24th in the league in defensive rating.

Mitchell is still averaging 27.0 points per game this season, and he’s cleared this total in six of his 12 outings in the 2023-24 season.

I could see this game being high-scoring, and I have a hard time fading Mitchell to have a third straight bad game after his points prop dropped to a much more bettable number.

Jarrett Allen UNDER 9.5 rebounds

I can’t get behind Jarrett Allen to clear this prop on Tuesday night, as he’s facing an elite rebounding center in Clint Capela.

Over his last 10 games, Allen has just two games with double-digit boards, and he’s averaging just 7.7 rebounds per game on the season.

The Cavs center had just four boards against the Toronto Raptors in his last game, and he’s gone under this number in 10 of 12 total games in the 2023-24 season.
